In the text there is palpable field that when a woman takes a stand it is a problem.

  • There is a difference between being kind and being a doormat.
  • Having to tiptoe around their dysfunction.
  • Not everyone in your circle is in your corner.

Have wisdom on what to say, how to say it, and when to say it.

  • Instead of paying attention to the little the king was about to make they encourage him.
  • Instead of giving advice they boost the king's ego.
  • They created an environment for the king to dishonor the very person he was trying to honor.
  • The king's understanding of her beauty was only surface level.
  • When it came time to demonstrate how he loved her, he was blinded by his self-loving interest.

You have to make decisions that don't just impact you but impact the people around you.

  • When you are off your game you open an opportunity for the enemy to affect your family.
  • Life is a fight!

In our text the king is led by his emotions not his assignment.

  • Far too often women are told to submit to their husband, however men need to learn how to submit in their lives first.

Esther followed Vashti and spoke up on what was wrong.

  • Speak truth to power!
