Built on God's faithfulness
Our church is not just a building, it is a movement of people following Jesus together. From humble beginnings to life-changing growth, every part of our story is built on God's faithfulness.
1968
Fourteen adults, one youth, and four ministers met at the Orange Garden Community Building in Kissimmee, Florida. That meeting led to the formation of First Church of God.
1998
Rev. Whitfield D. Blenman became pastor and led the church into growth, culminating in the opening of our current sanctuary in 2006.
2019
Bishop Blenman retired, and Rev. Dr. Matthew and Lady Rhesa Quainoo became lead pastors. Under their leadership, the church doubled in attendance and saw major spiritual and financial growth.
2024
Dr. Matt and Lady Rhesa were called to lead in Maryland. Their brother and sister-in-love, Rev. Tim and Lady Jill Quainoo, now lead Solid Rock into its next chapter.
