Five things to know before your first Sunday in 2026

Walking into a church for the first time is mostly an exercise in not knowing things. Where do I park. Am I dressed wrong. What happens to my children. Here are the answers, so that none of it has to be worked out in a car park.

1. The service times change in September

This is first because it is the thing most likely to catch someone out. Solid Rock is moving from two Sunday services to a single service, and the change takes effect on the first Sunday in September 2026. The current times are these:

Sunday services: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM in person, 11:00 AM online

The visit page always shows the live schedule, so it is the safest place to check the week you are actually coming rather than trusting a date you read in August.

2. Parking is on site and free

The church is at 1904 Michigan Avenue in Kissimmee, a few minutes from downtown, with its own car park. There is a parking team on Sunday mornings whose entire job is pointing people to a space, and they will spot a car that has not been before. Arriving ten minutes early makes the whole thing easier and gets you a seat you actually chose.

3. There is no dress code

On any given Sunday the room contains suits, jeans, dresses, trainers and church hats, frequently in the same row. Some people dress up because it is part of how they were raised to come to church, and some people arrive in whatever they had on. Both are unremarkable here, and nobody is keeping score.

4. Children have somewhere of their own to go

Children's Ministry runs during the service, and there is a digital check-in team at the door to get children signed in and matched to a guardian on collection. Children are welcome to stay in the main service too, and a child making noise in a church service is not a crisis anyone will treat as one.

5. Nothing will be asked of you

You will not be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, or say anything. An offering is taken and visitors are welcome to let it pass; the church would genuinely rather you came back than gave anything on a first visit. If you want to say hello there is a connect card, and if you would rather stay anonymous for a month that is entirely normal.

That is the standard the greeter and usher teams are aiming at, and it is a fair one to hold the church to on the day.
