Privacy Policy

This site collects very little. The only measurement on it is a cookieless page counter, there is no advertising pixel, and no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to consent to. This page explains exactly what does happen.

This page describes how this website works, written by the people who built it. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by an attorney.

What we do not collect

We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, a Meta or Facebook pixel, session recording, heat mapping, or any advertising tool on this website. The one measurement tool we use is Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and shows us totals for each page rather than anything about an individual visitor.

We do not set cookies. The only thing this site stores in your browser is a single flag remembering that you closed the announcement banner at the top of the page, so it does not reappear on every visit. That flag stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade information about you. We do not have an advertising program.

What you choose to send us

If you use a form on this site, you send us what you typed into it, which may include your email address and your question. Nothing is collected from a form you do not submit.

Form messages are delivered to the church office by Formspree, a third party form service. Formspree processes and stores the submission in order to deliver it. We use it so that this website never needs to hold your message itself.

We use what you send to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked a question.

Services that sit outside this website

Giving, groups, event registration, and the church calendar are handled by Church Center, which is operated by Planning Center. When you follow one of those links you leave this website and Planning Center's own privacy policy governs what happens next, including anything you enter and any payment you make. This website never receives, processes, or stores card or bank details.

Sermon video is hosted on YouTube. The sermon thumbnails shown on this site load directly from YouTube's servers, which means YouTube can see your IP address and may set its own cookies in your browser when a page containing them loads, even if you never click play. If that matters to you, your browser's tracking protection settings control it, not this site.

Four pages, and every individual sermon page, embed something of Google's directly. Connect shows a live Google map, Watch shows our YouTube live stream, Plan Your Visit and Food Pantry each show a YouTube video about the church, and each sermon page shows that Sunday's recording where one is still available. All of them load from Google as soon as the page opens, which means Google can see your IP address and may set its own cookies, whether or not you interact with them. Every YouTube player on this site is served from youtube-nocookie.com, which holds back YouTube's advertising cookies until you actually press play. That reduces what is stored on your device; it does not hide your visit from Google. The Sermons archive links to the church's Google Drive folder, the directions link opens Google Maps, and the app links open the Apple App Store and Google Play. Each of those opens on its operator's own site and is governed by its operator's policy.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like essentially all web hosting, the platform keeps short lived operational logs of requests, which include IP addresses. These exist so the site can be kept running and secure. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything you send through a form.

Children

This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Children's ministry check in happens in person and through Church Center, not through this site.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the church office using the contact details below and we will act on it.

Because this site sets no cookies and its only measurement is an aggregate page counter with no personal identifier, there is nothing here to opt out of. Requests about giving records or group membership need to go to the church office, since those live in Church Center rather than on this website.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.

If you have questions about this policy, or want to make a request about your information, the church office is the place to start.
