What we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a target we test against, not a certification anyone has issued us.

What has actually been tested

Colour contrast is measured, not eyeballed. Every text and background pairing on this site is computed against the WCAG formula, and those measurements run as automated tests, so a colour change that would drop text below the required contrast fails the build rather than shipping. Every visible piece of text on the live home page has been checked in a real browser against the background it actually sits on.

Every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is a two tone ring designed to stay visible on both the light and the dark sections of the site.

Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.

Motion respects your system setting. If you have asked your device to reduce motion, the background video on the home page is never loaded at all, and animations are switched off rather than merely shortened.

Images carry text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they are not read out as noise.

Known limits

Sermon video is hosted on YouTube and uses YouTube's own player and captions. Where automatic captions are the only captions available, their accuracy is YouTube's rather than ours.

Giving, groups, and registration happen in Church Center, which is a separate product we do not control or test.

This site has been tested by its builders and by automated tools. It has not yet been through an audit by an independent accessibility specialist, or a formal test session with disabled users. We would rather say that than imply otherwise.
