Your Data
The privacy policy explains our practices. This page is the short version people usually actually want: who else gets anything, and how to get your information removed.
This page describes how this website works, written by the people who built it. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by an attorney.

Everyone who can receive data, in full
Formspree, when you submit a form on this site. It receives what you typed so it can deliver the message to the church office.
East Chop Capital, our partner, when you submit the form on the East Chop Capital partnership page. That form goes to the partnership team rather than the church office.
Planning Center, which operates Church Center, when you follow a giving, groups, events, or calendar link. Anything you enter there is held by them, including payment details, which never touch this website.
YouTube, when a page loads a sermon thumbnail or when you watch a video. It can see your IP address and may set its own cookies.
Google, as soon as you open our Connect page (which embeds a live map), our Watch page (which embeds our YouTube live stream), our Plan Your Visit and Food Pantry pages (each of which embeds a YouTube video), or an individual sermon page (which embeds that Sunday's recording where one is still available). Also when you use a directions link or open the Sermons archive's link to our Google Drive folder.
Apple and Google, when you follow the links to the church app in their stores.
Vercel, which hosts this site and keeps short lived request logs, including IP addresses, in order to serve and protect it. Vercel also provides Web Analytics, one of our two measurement tools, which counts page views in aggregate, sets no cookies, and stores nothing on your device.
Google, through Google Analytics 4, our other measurement tool, on every page. It receives the page you viewed, the page that sent you here, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and basic device and browser information, and it sets first party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to recognize a returning visit. Google Signals and ad personalization are switched off, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt out add on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
That is the complete list. Our measurement is the Vercel and Google Analytics counting named above. There is no advertising network and no data broker, because this site does not use any.
What stays on your own device
One flag, recording that you closed the announcement banner. It never leaves your browser. Clearing your site data removes it, and the banner will simply reappear.
The Google Analytics cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. Unlike the banner flag, these are read by Google Analytics so it can recognize a returning visit. Clearing your site data removes them too.
Asking us to delete something
Write to the church office and say what you would like removed. If it came through a form on this site, we can delete it from our inbox and ask Formspree to remove its copy.
If it concerns giving records, group membership, or event registrations, those are in Church Center rather than on this website, so tell the office and they will handle it there. Some financial records have to be kept for a period of time for accounting and tax reasons, and where that applies we will tell you rather than quietly keep them.
