Scripture
1 Timothy 4:8 (NET)

Dads, the next time you happen upon a mirror it is okay to say that this is not bad built, this right here is a father figure. Tell yourself it is okay I am going to love me anyway.

Self-love is not just for the ladies it is for the brothers too; you have to speak life over yourself even in times when nobody else will. Every man needs to hear encouragement and if no one has said it to you, brother "you are doing a good job." In our text we find three themes that I want to pull out three times 1. We need to correct our vision 2. Protect your valuables 3. Walk in your victory The text tells us that physical training is of some value, you cannot love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, and soul and neglect the body that He gave you to be the temple of His Holy Spirit. You cannot work your body to exhaustion and do not take any breaks that is not how God intended it.

The bible tells us that God worked six days and He rested on the seventh day, every Dad in here deserves a break.

There are too many that fail to look at the lens that God sees them through You can look at yourself through the lens that your employer sees you through that says your value is $20, $30, $50 an hour but in reality God says that you are so priceless that He sent His own Son to pay the price for your life, you have to correct the way you see yourself.

Limits are for life, the people who can go where they want, do what they want whenever they want usually don't live long. You must correct your vision.

Discipline helps you reach destiny.

Physical training has value; there are physical limits that every one of us need to abide by. It is important to limit yourself because there are certain things that you used to do that you cannot do anymore.

There are some things that must be of value, Spiritual discipline is not the same as physical training. Physical training doesn't work unless you pick it up. You can look at the Gym all you want however nothing is going to change until you go in there.

Godliness does not depend on your activity first; we serve a God that doesn't wait for sinners to figure it out.

Spiritual training/ discipline is bases where God initiates the activity.

God made the decision to call you to Himself, this is why the bible says it is the kindness of God that leads people to repent.

Godliness is valuable in all things.

No man is perfect, no man has every answer, no man gets it all right, we try too, society wants us to, however the reality is every man has a shortcoming.

We must be careful that we do not allow the fact that we are called, anointed and gifted to ignore the fact to make you think that God needs you more than He does.

Thank God for the fact that while we still have some mess-ups and some hangups, and some mistakes God still uses the imperfect to bring about His perfect will.

Some of us had earthly fathers that were present, some of us did not.

The gap that your family is experiencing is a gap for God to step into your story. The opportunity for you as a man to realize that where you fell short God can come up big.

As fathers the weight of your words are immense, your words have more weight than you can imagine.

Pay attention to which words you use. You can create a vision for your kids to live into with your words.

We need to see our faith live as valuable; see our faith in God and meaningful not just something that we put on Sunday, not just something that we pull out when we are in trouble. It needs to be something that we prioritize every day.

Godliness is seeing with the eyes of faith today where God is taking you tomorrow.

God is willing no matter what you have been through Thank God that He is flawless You don't need to depend on you in all your ways we must depend on God. When you depend on God even when you stumble, He will ensure that He picks you back up again. When we fall short to His glory He will pick us up.

You don't have to measure up all that you need to do is allow God to level you up.

Godliness is valuable at all times that means in your failures as well.

God wants you to know that He will show up even in your shortcomings There is no pain too big
