The Tipping Point

We take this time to remember Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.

• Revival happens when conscious wakes up.
• He was calling the church to move.
• Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Are we ready for revival right now?

In the text, we meet Moses, who has just led God's people out of Egypt.

• If you're not careful you will take Egypt's coping mechanisms into a Canaan promise land.
• Moses goes back to the promise of God.

Joseph was betrayed by the very people who should've protected him.

• Not everyone in your circle is in your corner.
• When you know who you are, you won't allow people to make you think you are less than who you are.
• If you don't know who you are, you'll let people treat you according to their convenience.
• Joseph chose to trust God with no possible way of knowing that the answer to his prayer would take 400 years.
• Some of us are angry with God. Praying hard is not the will of God, but prayer is an invitation of life change.
• The tipping point is realizing that God is not the person who needs to change it's you.
• God is waiting for you to change.

In the text, it says that Moses took the bones of Joseph.

• Have you ever had to trust God in something that was unsure.
• This is why surrounding yourself with the right people is important.
• Moses took the bones of Joseph because Joseph understood that this is not where I'm going to stay.
• Moses carried the bones of Joseph because he saw it was important to recognize the people who came before him as he was going to where God was getting ready to take him.
• There's a difference between honor and idol.

When are tipping points present?

• When the preacher becomes the deity that's a tipping point.
• When people idolize the pulpit that is a tipping point.
